I have passed by this simple motel for the past 40 years when staying in Tahoe, but would not have thought to book here if ist wasn't for some fo the great Booking.com reviewers. Thanks. Although the outside looks like your classic motel, The rooms have been renovated, with a large shower, a larger than mini-bar fridge, and a microwave. In our King Bed room the sink was seperate from the bathroom which was very comfortable for us. We paid the extra to be in a room in their single floor building so we didnt' have any issues of people above us. The owners are extremely lovely people and realy take care of their property. We saw them working to improve the facility everyday that we were there! (they had workers put in a walkway by the rooms while we were there. ) The location is central, and for us in walking distance to the ski lift, the beach, the shopping center and the casinos, yet off the main road so we did not hear any traffic. A realy good choice for a motel in Stateline, South Lake Tahoe

This was a good middle point between the west side of the lake and east side of the lake and walking distance to heavenly village. The staff was very very kind. Always helpful when we needed something and didn’t make you feel like you were a bother. Had microwave and fridge in room as well as a good AC unit which were what we needed this stay. We used the fan portion of the ac unit at night to keep the outside noise out. We are use to a loud heppa running at night so this was perfect to keep the noises from the street out. Ice downstairs to fill your bottles or water back packs is a plus as well.

There are plenty of electrical outlets and pillows. King bed was comfortable. Although room is small, there was just enough space to accommodate my stretching routine. Staff appears to be available 24/7. While my friends stayed at Hard Rock Hotel because of the dog friendly nature, I chose BJI because the room has a microwave and mini fridge so I can prepare my own healthy breakfast. Moreover, it was only a 10-15 minute walk to Hard Rock Hotel to load the truck and ready the boat for the day's fishing. Otherwise, Hard Rock Hotel charges $20 for parking.

Booked the room to attend a cycling event in Tahoe. I was looking for an economical (at least by Tahoe standards), clean, comfortable room in a convenient location. I received everything I was looking for. Room was small but adequate for 1 or 2 people. Parking was available directly outside the room. The room had been remodeled relatively recently, and was very clean. Microwave and small refrigerator were in the room, Starbuck’s directly across the street. The staff was extremely polite and helpful.

Housekeeping was done always, and it was extremely difficult given that an ongoing blizzard made travel for some staff near impossible. Was very impressed with the dedication. Parking lot was consistently plowed during said blizzard. I was asked a few times to move my car to allow room for the plow which was no problem and I appreciated being given a chance to help. Owners were very friendly and knowledgable about the area and seemed down-to-earth / approachable.
